 Baker had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Laurel Hill Hoboes with a sharp  16-1 win on Monday. Baker might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
  EMILY WHIDDON made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. WHIDDON was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news, Baker got a  massive  performance out of  ADALYNN ST. JOHN, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.  CARLIE HOPPS was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 The  victory was  the sixth in a row for Baker, bringing their record for this year to 15-7. As for Laurel Hill,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-8.
 Baker will challenge Jay at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Baker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game  this season. Laurel Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
