Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers vs. Chrisman Bears

The Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Chrisman Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Lincoln College Prep nor Chrisman posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Lincoln College Prep fell victim to Truman and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Tigers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Lincoln College Prep got a good showing from Tyler Jackson, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits Jackson has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Lincoln College Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Burton, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Chrisman started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against St. Michael the Archangel. They fell 6-2 to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Chrisman's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Lincoln College Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Chrisman in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln College Prep since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
