Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn Valley Falcons vs. West Holt Huskies

After flying high against Neligh-Oakdale on Saturday, Elkhorn Valley came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the West Holt Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Kayton Werner paced Elkhorn Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Werner got some help from Kyndal Werner and her 28 assists. Kayton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading West Holt to victory were Madalyn Pistulka and Jewel Beckwith. Pistulka had 19 digs and two assists, while Beckwith had eight digs and two aces. Those 19 digs gave Pistulka a new career-high.

Elkhorn Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for West Holt, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-9.
