Volleyball Recap: Arvada Gets the Win

Arvada won the last time they faced Alameda and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Lilly Rice paced Arvada's offense, picking up nine kills. Rice got some help from Maggie Martinez and her 13 assists. Rice also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Faith Maestas, each putting up four.

Arvada now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Alameda, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coincidentally, Arvada and Alameda will both be playing Arrupe Jesuit the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Generals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
