Basketball Recap: Cloudcroft Takes a Loss

Cloudcroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The contest between them and the Reserve Mountaineers didn't end well, with the Cloudcroft Bears falling 45-31. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mountaineers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Cloudcroft's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Reserve, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloudcroft will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carrizozo at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Reserve, they and Ruidoso will face off at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
