Wayne is 9-1 against Waterloo since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Wayne's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Waterloo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Wayne will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Honeoye Falls-Lima, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 5-2 win over the Cougars on Saturday. Five seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Mynderse Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since May 27, 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Wayne and bumps their season record up to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Waterloo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Wayne came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterloo in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
