Basketball Recap: Riverton Parke Takes a Loss

Riverton Parke lost against North Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riverton Parke Panthers took a hard 63-49 fall against the North Central Thunderbirds. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Riverton Parke saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jonah Hopkins posted 19 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Eli Roberts was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 15 points.

Riverton Parke's record is now 7-7. As for North Central, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Riverton Parke will challenge Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for North Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-47 defeat against North Vermillion on the 25th.
