Basketball Game Preview: Aviation Flyers vs. Goddard Communications Arts & Tech Jaguars

After both having extra time off, the Aviation Flyers and the Goddard Communications Arts & Tech Jaguars will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Aviation came up short against Scholars Academy and fell 49-38. While losing is never fun, the Flyers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Scholars Academy are ranked 231st).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-20, which was the final score in Goddard Communications Arts & Tech's tilt against Careers in Television & Film last Saturday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Goddard Communications Arts & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Aviation, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Aviation was able to grind out a solid win over Goddard Communications Arts & Tech in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 39-32. Will Aviation repeat their success, or does Goddard Communications Arts & Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
