Recap: Orange Glen Patriots vs. Tri-City Christian Eagles
Orange Glen played against Tri-City Christian and won via forfeit.
Bowyn Cannon got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 418 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Cannon hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Angel Rios was another key contributor, rushing for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Tri-City Christian still got an impressive performance from Joel Valverde, who rushed for 23 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 197 yards and a touchdown.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Orange Glen, bringing their record for this year to 4-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.3 points per game. As for Tri-City Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Glen will take on Crawford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. As for Tri-City Christian, they will be playing at home against Calipatria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calipatria is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
