Baseball Recap: Dwyer Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Dwyer had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 5-1 to make it five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palm Beach Central Broncos a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Dwyer got a massive performance out of Tyler Thrush, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Thrush has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Rovitti, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Palm Beach Central fell to 4-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 3.6 runs allowed.

On Palm Beach Central's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kieran Rivera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Dwyer will face off against American Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.5, the Patriots 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Palm Beach Central, they will host Park Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
