Football Recap: Liberty County Comes Up Short at Home Against Blountstown + How To Watch

Liberty County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 56-3 loss at the hands of the Blountstown Tigers. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-3.

Blountstown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Jones out in front who threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes. Curtis Ellis was another key pass catcher, picking up 124 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Looking ahead, Liberty County will host Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blountstown, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
