Baseball Recap: Centennial Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Alamogordo Tigers by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Isreal Molina was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Centennial pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Alamogordo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against Alamogordo: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
