Softball Game Preview: Jenkins Cavaliers vs. Buckhorn Wildcats

Jenkins has gone a perfect 10-0 against Buckhorn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jenkins is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Letcher County Central just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 8-1 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Powell County, falling 15-8.

Jenkins' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Buckhorn, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Jenkins took their win against Buckhorn when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 8-2 score. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
