Football Recap: Magee Piles Up the Points Against Mclaurin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Magee). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 47-6 win over the McLaurin Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Travon Magee was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 175 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing, and also rushed for 32 yards. Zyrenzo Hayes was another key player, picking up 91 receiving yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Magee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Magee's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for McLaurin, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
