Chaparral made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ellison, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chaparral Bobcats blew past the Ellison Eagles 5-2 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Eagles back in February, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Chaparral and bumps their season record up to 9-10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for Ellison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

Chaparral will head out to challenge Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Ellison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
