Escondido entered their tilt with Fallbrook on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They managed a 68-64 victory over the Fallbrook Warriors. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 73-38 loss the last time these two teams met.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Petey Pizzo, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Pizzo is becoming a predictor of Fallbrook's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 10-2 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Teague Lucy, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Escondido pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Fallbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escondido will square off against Rancho Bernardo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Bernardo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Fallbrook, they will take on San Pasqual at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fallbrook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.3 points per game this season.
