Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-32 loss at the hands of the Arlington Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Eagles are ranked 27th).

Noelle Larson was Louisville's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Kylie Gaston held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Allie Hiatt took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Arlington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Britt Nielsen led the charge by going 9-for-15 on her way to 23 points and seven rebounds. The game was Nielsen's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Timm, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 assists.

Louisville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
