Recap: Harvard Cardinals vs. Silver Lake Mustangs
This season hasn't been kind to the Harvard Cardinals, who are still winless after their 14th matchup. They were dealt a 56-11 defeat at the hands of Silver Lake on Monday. Harvard has not had much luck with Silver Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Harvard saw an underclassman step up: Tabi Forney scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Forney is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Harvard's defeat was their 16th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Silver Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Harvard will be playing at home against Elba at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Lake won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wilcox-Hildreth at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Wilcox-Hildreth: 26.8, Silver Lake: 29.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
