Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Hughson Huskies
Ripon is 8-2 against Hughson since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ripon Indians will be playing at home against the Hughson Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Ripon will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Ripon proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 20) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Escalon 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Ripon has posted yet this season.
Dawson Downs was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Lefebvre, who scored eight points along with six assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hughson came up short against Riverbank on Friday and fell 49-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hughson in their matchups with Riverbank: they've now lost five in a row.
Ripon's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Hughson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
