Soccer Game Preview: Bearden vs. Hardin Valley Academy

The Bearden Bulldogs will face off against the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bearden is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Halls with a sharp 4-1 win. Winning may never get old, but Bearden sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy kept a clean sheet against Oak Ridge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. Given Hardin Valley Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Oak Ridge are ranked 72nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bearden's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those seven matches. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-3 record this season.
