Softball Game Preview: North Surry Greyhounds vs. Forbush Falcons

North Surry hasn't had much luck against Forbush recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will square off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Surry barely beat East Surry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Greyhounds never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Greyhounds have posted against the Cardinals since May 2, 2022.

Meanwhile, Forbush waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Cardinals 10-1.

North Surry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Forbush, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.

Everything went North Surry's way against Forbush when the teams last played two weeks ago, as North Surry made off with a 13-0 victory. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
