Greenfield had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mahar Regional Senators. That's more bragging rights for the Green Wave, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Greenfield got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-4.

Greenfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Mahar Regional, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Greenfield will take on rival Pioneer Valley Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mahar Regional is set to square off against their familiar foe Mohawk Trail Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
