True North Classical Academy had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mourning Sharks. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sharks, too.

True North Classical Academy was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-17.

Dayleen Valdes paced True North Classical Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Valdes got some help from Bianca Gomez and her 17 assists. Gomez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Olivia Pardo, each putting up three.

When it comes to explaining why Mourning lost, don't look at Mila Besharat. Despite the final result, she had 38 digs and three aces. Besharat has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 13 times she's played.

True North Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Mourning, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
