Softball Recap: Huntington Takes a Loss

Huntington came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Piketon Redstreaks, falling 12-1. The Huntsmen have struggled against the Redstreaks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Allie Baker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Piketon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Huntington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Southeastern on the 7th. As for Piketon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-1 win against Paint Valley on the 7th.
