Softball Recap: Central Falls Takes a Loss

Central Falls fell victim to Cranston East and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Central Falls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mabel Guzman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double. Guzman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Central Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cranston East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central Falls is set to take on their familiar foe Rogers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cranston East will challenge rival Mt. Pleasant at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
