Volleyball Recap: New Hope Takes a Loss

New Hope was the 2-1 winner over East Limestone when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. New Hope took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Limestone on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, New Hope saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubree Harbin had ten assists and six digs.

New Hope has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-27 record this season. As for East Limestone, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-12.

Coming up, New Hope will be taking part in a tournament against North Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Limestone, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Cherokee County on the 11th.
