Basketball Recap: Zephyrhills Comes Up Short

After flying high against Patel last Friday, Zephyrhills came back down to earth. The Zephyrhills Bulldogs lost to the Alonso Ravens on the road by a 49-33 margin on Thursday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Zephyrhills' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Alonso, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Zephyrhills will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Land O' Lakes at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Alonso, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southeast at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
