Football Recap: Vallivue's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over + How To Watch

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Vallivue and Ridgevue meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Falcons took a 13-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Shane Osuna threw for 61 yards on six of 13 attempts. Zachary Diedrich was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards. On the ground, Onix Carson rushed for 41 yards.

Ridgevue can attribute much of their success to Hunter Schmittel, who threw for 164 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries.

The defeat snapped Vallivue's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. As for Ridgevue, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallivue will host Bishop Kelly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 14.3 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ridgevue, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nampa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
