Basketball Recap: St. Mary's School for the Deaf Victorious

St. Mary's School for the Deaf won the last time they faced Delaware School for the Deaf and Yaser Abdollahi did his part to make sure it happened again. The Saints took down the Blue Hawks 45-27 on Friday for which the team can thank Abdollahi, who shot 41% from the field on his way to 23 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

St. Mary's School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Delaware School for the Deaf, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's School for the Deaf will head out to take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delaware School for the Deaf, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
