Softball Recap: Grundy Beats Hurley for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Grundy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Hurley Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-11 last Monday.

Grundy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Hurley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Grundy and Hurley will both be playing Council the next time they take the field. The Golden Wave will host the Cobras at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
