Football Recap: Laurel Highlands Takes a Loss

Laurel Highlands had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it five. They were dealt a 58-7 loss at the hands of the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-0.

As for Thomas Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Laurel Highlands is ranked 435th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler Eber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards. Another back making a difference was Emmet Forte, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of scores.

As of now, neither Laurel Highlands nor Thomas Jefferson have any future games scheduled.
