Soccer Game Preview: Brunswick vs. Johnson

The Brunswick Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Johnson Atomsmashers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brunswick will be strutting in after a win while Johnson will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Brunswick turned things around against Brantley County last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Herons. Brunswick's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

They hit Brantley County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sohaam Patel (2), Fabian Vazquez, and Angel Mendez.

Despite a strong season so far, Johnson has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They came up short against New Hampstead last Friday, falling 6-3. That's two games in a row now that Johnson have lost by exactly three goals.

The victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1.
