Soccer Recap: Pewaukee Comes Up Short

Pewaukee fell victim to Ankeny Centennial and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. While losing is never fun, Pewaukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Wisconsin, while Ankeny Centennial are ranked third in Iowa).

Pewaukee has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Ankeny Centennial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewaukee will welcome Pius XI Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ankeny Centennial, they will square off against Ames at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
