Softball Recap: Millard Drops Highest Score of Season Against Panguitch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard). Everything went their way against the Panguitch Bobcats on Wednesday as the Millard Eagles made off with a 15-5 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Millard let Jansie Chlarson and Savannah Turner run wild. Chlarson went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Turner got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Chlarson a new career-high. Brynlee Deem also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Millard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Millard's record is now 3-5. As for Panguitch, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard will take on Enterprise at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Millard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Panguitch, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Panguitch Bobcats take on Pinnacle Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
