Baseball Recap: Mt. Vernon-Enola Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon-Enola fell victim to Quitman and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Mt. Vernon-Enola saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan McNair, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. McNair is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Mt. Vernon-Enola's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Quitman, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Mt. Vernon-Enola will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bigelow at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. As for Quitman, they will square off against Baptist Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
