Softball Recap: Landstown Takes a Loss

Landstown lost against Western Branch back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Landstown lost 9-3 to Western Branch. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adalyn Stumler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.

Landstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Western Branch, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landstown will head out to square off against Kempsville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kempsville's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Landstown's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Western Branch, they are taking a road trip to challenge Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenbrier Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
