Preview: Strong Rock Christian Patriots vs. Westfield School Hornets
Strong Rock Christian is 3-0 against Westfield School since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Strong Rock Christian Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westfield School Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Strong Rock Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westfield School in Georgia (Strong Rock Christian is ranked 214th, while Westfield School is ranked 459th).
Last Tuesday, Strong Rock Christian was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's Academy, taking the game 48-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Strong Rock Christian.
Zack Phillips continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Burghardt, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Westfield School were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They were beaten by St. Anne-Pacelli 69-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westfield School has scored all season.
Strong Rock Christian's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Westfield School, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Everything went Strong Rock Christian's way against Westfield School in their previous meeting back in January as Strong Rock Christian made off with a 58-36 victory.
