Volleyball Recap: Addie Lombardo and Madi Thistle Secure Win for Broomfield + How To Watch

While Broomfield's win against Holy Family wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 14, 2024.

Broomfield took Holy Family into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 15-9.

Broomfield was led to victory by Madi Thistle and Addie Lombardo. Thistle had 15 digs, while Lombardo had six digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave Thistle a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Broomfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Family only served nine.

Despite the loss, Holy Family still got an impressive performance from Caroline Staff, who had 13 digs and six assists.

Broomfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Holy Family, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
