Football Recap: Shamrock Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Shamrock had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Sundown Roughnecks and fell 52-6. The Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roughnecks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jace Moon threw for 120 yards on 14 of 26 attempts. Cross Stambaugh was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shamrock will challenge West Texas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sundown, they will take on Lubbock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
