Centreville's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Chantilly on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Westfield Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Michael Gambone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caleb Bang was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Centreville's record now sits at 10-5. As for Westfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Centreville is set to challenge their familiar foe James Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.9, the Warhawks 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Westfield will face off against rival Oakton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
