Football Recap: Widefield Comes Up Short

Widefield lost against Falcon back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gladiators took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Widefield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Falcon, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Widefield will square off against Pueblo West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cyclones' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Gladiators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Falcon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Doherty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
