Southern Wells hadn't done well against Eastbrook recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Raiders blew past the Panthers 3-0. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Southern Wells walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-16.

Abbie Powell paced Southern Wells' offense, picking up 16 kills. Powell got some help from Sydney Alstoft and her 29 assists. Finally, Powell was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Southern Wells has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Wells will take on Northfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastbrook, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Adams Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
