Florence-Carlton is a perfect 3-0 against Corvallis since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will welcome the Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. Corvallis took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Florence-Carlton, who comes in off a win.

Florence-Carlton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Stevensville, who was ranked 16th at the time (Florence-Carlton was ranked tenth). The Falcons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets a 12-0 shutout on Saturday. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mason Arlington was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Hinsdale, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Florence-Carlton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Corvallis fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Frenchtown on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Broncs by a score of 2-1. The defeat leaves the Blue Devils still looking for their first win of the season.

Corvallis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bridger Huddleton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

The victory got Florence-Carlton back to even at 4-4. As for Corvallis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Florence-Carlton was able to grind out a solid win over Corvallis in their previous matchup back in April, winning 8-3. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
