Basketball Recap: Henderson Collegiate Takes a Loss

Henderson Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions 38-9. The match marked the Pride's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Excelsior Classical Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shadiamond Francis Service out in front who posted ten points in addition to five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Arihanna Williams, who put up eight points and three steals.

Henderson Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson Collegiate will host Eno River Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they will welcome Woods Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
