Football Preview: Lockhart Lions vs. A&M Consolidated Tigers
The Lockhart Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the A&M Consolidated Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockhart is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Lockhart is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Anderson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ja'Marlon Mooring continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jayden Mullenberg was another key player, rushing for 36 yards and a touchdown.
A&M Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Lockhart, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
