Basketball Game Preview: Thomasville Bulldogs vs. Williams Bulldogs

The Thomasville Bulldogs and the Williams Bulldogs will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Thomasville is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Randleman on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Thomasville came up short against Randleman, falling 59-36. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Williams came up short against Asheboro on Friday and fell 55-46. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Blue Comets are ranked 84th).

Thomasville will need focus on slowing down Jaeden Smith, one of several Williams players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 15 points. Smith's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cavion Stokes, who had 13 points.

Williams now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Thomasville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
