Basketball Game Preview: Mattoon Greenwave vs. Villa Grove Blue Devils

The Mattoon Greenwave will challenge the Villa Grove Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mattoon and seven for Villa Grove dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Mattoon took a blow against Effingham, falling 70-27.

Meanwhile, Villa Grove ended up a good deal behind Urbana University last Monday and lost 53-34.

Mattoon's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Villa Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
