Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Verot vs. Aubrey Rogers

The Bishop Verot Vikings will challenge the Aubrey Rogers Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bishop Verot is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Clewiston an 8-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

Their offense was hitting Clewiston from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Caroline Pelkofski led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Aubrey Rogers hasn't lost a match since December 12, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Oasis with a sharp 8-1 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Sharks are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aubrey Rogers is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six contests. As for Bishop Verot, their victory bumped their record up to 14-0-1.
