Volleyball Recap: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Comes Up Short

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the George-Little Rock Mustangs, falling 3-0. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for George-Little Rock, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sibley-Ocheyedan on the 15th. As for George-Little Rock, they will take on Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each contest than the last.
