The St. Joseph Flyers will square off against the Saint Mary's Hall Barons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Joseph comes in on three and Saint Mary's Hall on four.
Last Saturday, St. Joseph made easy work of Providence Catholic and carried off a 15-1 victory. The Flyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Alexia Sanchez looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Joseph got a massive performance out of Gianna Morris, who scored four runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-3. Those five stolen bases gave Morris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Grimsinger, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
St. Joseph kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Saint Mary's Hall hadn't done well against San Antonio Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Saint Mary's Hall had just enough and edged out San Antonio Christian 3-2.
Meryl Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Jones was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Wallace, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Harder Kuhm also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
St. Joseph's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Saint Mary's Hall, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
St. Joseph's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. St. Joseph has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Saint Mary's Hall, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Joseph continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went St. Joseph's way against Saint Mary's Hall in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as St. Joseph made off with a 21-2 victory. Will St. Joseph repeat their success, or does Saint Mary's Hall has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
